Notice is hereby given that the proposed budget for Otero County for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026, has been submitted to the Board of County Commissioners. A copy of the proposed budget is available for public inspection at the Office of the Commissioners during regular business hours and online at https://oterocounty.colorado.gov/financials
The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget at a special meeting on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in Room 107, Otero County Courthouse, 13 West 3rd Street, La Junta, Colorado. At that time, the Board will consider the budget and may adopt it by resolution.
Any interested taxpayer may file or register objections to the proposed budget at any time prior to the
final adoption. Public comments are welcome during the hearing.
This notice supersedes the previously published hearing date of December 8, 2025.
