OTERO COUNTY LAND USE ADMINISTRATOR’S OFFICE NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING

  • Major and Minor Subdivision Applications

  • Use by Review Permit Applications and Rezoning/Variance Applications

Please be informed that at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, in the Otero County Rocky Ford Annex, located at 411 N. 10th Street in Rocky Ford, Colorado, the Otero County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the following as required by the Otero County Land Use Code, as the same affects the property situated in the County of Otero and the State of Colorado:

A Minor Subdivision request to separate 9.566 acres of land from 16.22 acres of land in an Agriculture Zoned District (A-1). Part of Section 19, Township 22 South, Range 59 West of the 6th P.M. The property is commonly addressed as 33025 County Road 2, Fowler, CO. The owner of record is SOCO Prop Land & Realty, LLC.

The Otero County Commissioners will hold a public hearing regarding the above referenced Land Use hearing on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Otero County Commissioners, located in the Otero County Courthouse, Room 107, La Junta, Colorado.

Any person may appear before said Otero County Planning Commission and/or Board of County Commissioners, at the time and place stated above, to be heard on the above referenced Applications.

Any Land Use applications must be received by 12/23/25 to be on January 2026 Land Use agenda. There will be no Land Use hearings for the month of December 2025.

Planning Commission Board will meet at 5:00 p.m. on November 17, 2025, for work session.
