Duties and Responsibilities of the Coroner

• Pronouncement of death and start investigation
• Determine cause and manner of death
• Certified Death Investigator
• Work with Law Enforcement Agencies - local, state, and national
• Follow State and Federal statutes and guidelines for death investigation and reporting
• On call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
